Action
Sudbury, S.T.O.P. and O.C.C.I.D.(Ontario Community Council on Impaired Driving)
joined forces within the Greater City of Sudbury on Saturday, May 24, 2003 to
participate in the Arrive Alive Bottle Drive. This being the fourth year S.T.O.P
participated in this anti-drinking and driving campaign, which has become a nice
fund raiser for S.T.O.P.. The bottle drive, is held in conjunction with the Road
Safety Challenge here in Sudbury. Members of Action Sudbury and S.T.O.P.
collected bottles at the Beer Store's. The Beer Store being great corporate
citizens have collaborated with O.C.C.I.D. to promote the anti-drinking and
driving message across Ontario. The Arrive Alive bottle drive raises funds for
safety programs on Ontario's roads, waterways and snowmobile trails. S.T.O.P.
volunteers Ron Leclair, John O'Conner, Bob Hulme & Terry Applybe
worked at the Hanmer Beer Store, (Hanmer
Beer Store, raised the most money over the past four years here in Sudbury).
S.T.O.P. Volunteers Debbie Martel, Real Demore and Mark Zinger worked the
Chelmsford Beer Store.
